Sandra L. Balfour has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and is a National Board Certified instructor, mentor and national assessor in English Language Arts. Previous experience includes high school administration, elementary, middle and high school instruction, including adult education at Withlacoochee Technical Institute. Currently, she is the testing and curriculum coordinator, as well as the Advanced Placement instructor, at the Academy of Environmental Science, a nationally recognized public charter school in Crystal River. Balfour is vice chair of the District Board of Trustees.

Joyce Brancato is the CEO of Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, where she has been employed for 25 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida and a master’s in Business Administration from Nova University. She is immediate past president of the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce and is chairperson of the Board for Nature Coast EMS Service and a board member for Capital City Bank. 

Robert E. Durrance is retired from Levy County
Schools after serving for 34 years. He served as the
Testing and Truancy coordinator since 2000 and
previously was the assistant principal of Bronson High
School. He also taught math at Chiefland High School
and Cedar Key schools.  

Ronald L. Ewers is retired from Class 1 Inc. in Ocala and has served on the board of the United Way as co-chair for the record-setting 2006 annual campaign. He has been active with the CF Foundation, and in 2007 he and his wife, Phyllis, were named “Benefactors of the Year” for the southeastern United States by the Council for Resource Development. They are the namesake of the Ewers Century Center at the Ocala Campus. Ewers is chair of the District Board of Trustees.

Priya Ghumman is the president and CEO of Development & Construction Corporation of America, (DECCA).  She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brown University and is a licensed Certified Building Contractor in the state of Florida. She serves on the Kingsbury Academy’s Advisory Board, chaired the American Heart Association’s inaugural Marion County “Go Red for Women” event and was a member of the Ocala/Marion Chamber of Commerce Leadership Ocala Program.

Cory Pool is a partner at the Jenkins Automotive Group. He is currently the president of The Cornerstone School, an independent school serving students from preschool through the eighth grade. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Marion County.

Don Taylor is the Crystal River Nuclear Plant financial manager for Progress Energy, Florida.  He serves on the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce Board, is past president of the United Way of Citrus County and continues on that board. He has served on the CF Foundation’s Taste of Citrus committee as a board member and chair, and is a board member/treasurer of the Art Center of Citrus County. He has also served on the CF Foundation Board and the Citrus County Economic Development Council as treasurer. Taylor has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver.
